Happy New Year!
Ahh…2024…a new year full of potential…and an empty calendar.
It’s also a year of changes to come here at Biltong and Bourbon.
Because I have this insatiable desire to never stop learning, I’ve jumped into the ‘learn cool stuff’ pool with both feet. Through Udemy, I’ve decided this is my year to learn web development and graphic design.
What does this mean?
It means you’ll see a new branding for B&B…new colors, new logo, and a new website. It won’t be ready for a while because I’m just getting into this, but it will roll out sometime later this year.
You’ll also start seeing more photography here, too. It’ll be its own section, but it’s coming. It’ll be a combination of astrophotography and regular photography, so you can see more of what life is like here in South Africa. Now I just need to learn how to use the new camera that’s on its way.
There’s no doubt that I missed a ton of content last year. I blame myself for being disorganized. Well, that’s changing, too. We bought a calendar! Silly, I know, but now we’ll have a record of the things we did and the places we went so I won’t forget them.
And finally, because you all are so awesome, later this year you’ll have the opportunity to get my big project for the year, Biltong and Bourbon’s “It’s A Kak Life” 2025 calendar. It’ll be available for digital download and will be full of incredible photos of the beauty of South Africa. It’ll make a great Christmas gift! (hint, hint)
